FUNCTION: IsSp - test whether the argument is an element of the symplectic Schur basis

CALLING SEQUENCE:

IsSp(expr)

TYP[IsSp](expr)

PARAMETERS:

expr = any expression

SYNOPSIS:

• The IsSp function tests whether the argument expr is an element of the symplectic Schur basis, that is Sp[part] where part denotes a partition in non-increasing order.

• Whenever there is a conflict between the function name IsSp and another name used in the same session, use the long form TYP['IsSp'].

EXAMPLES:
