This is the version 1.0 of GUESS,
a Maple package to guess closed form for a sequence of numbers.


All features of this package are due to C. Krattenthaler and
his Mathematica package RATE.


The RATE distribution consists of the following files:

     README          This message
     GUESS.tst       The test file
     GUESS.m         The compiled code file
     GUESS.src       The source code file
     maple.hdb       The help compiled file (only for Maple V R4 and R5)


To install it, copy the necessary files to a directory called for example
~joe/GuessPack
then update your ".mapleinit" file (change libname so that Maple V
can find the package).
You can also compile the package from the source file. (see details
in the Maple user's reference manual.)

   $ maple
